Enormous progress has been made in pediatric audiology in recent years including: early identification, hearing instrument technology, strategies for hearing instrument fitting and speech/language acquisition. Phonak initiates and extensively promotes pediatric research presented in pediatric conferences worldwide. We also support the continuing education of pediatric hearing care professionals by regularly publishing new, practical information from the foremost experts in the field in the form of pediatric conference proceedings, research papers and the interactive eLearning.

Phonak Pediatric Advisory Board

Support of research projects

In 1998, Phonak AG initiated a sponsorship program for research projects looking into areas relevant for fitting children with hearing instruments. The Phonak Pediatric Advisory Board is a group of independent specialists headed by Professor Richard Seewald, University of Western Ontario, Canada. All board members are prominent pediatric audiologists who work with Phonak on a range of pediatric issues offering advice and expertise.
