Phonak Target™ fitting instructions for Digital Wireless Accessories (DWA) and remote controls

Phonak ComPilot, PilotOne, myPilot and iCom are individualized to the specific needs of the Phonak Spice Generation and Spice+ hearing system user by grouping them through the Phonak Target™ fitting software. The desired language, the activated hearing programs, the individual pairing with the hearing system and the manual configurations are available on the devices after the grouping process.

Grouping Phonak ComPilot, PilotOne, myPilot or iCom

Phonak Target™ identifies connected accessories automatically; just plug them in during the fitting session. The identified accessories are shown in the dashboard next to the connected hearing instruments.

Accessories can also be manually selected in the tab
[Instruments] > [Accessories].

Make sure that the accessories are connected to your fitting computer via the USB cable.

During the save procedure the accessories are listed in the save dialog.

Click’nTalk and iView – no grouping necessary

For Click’nTalk and iView, no grouping is necessary. They don’t have to be connected through the USB cable.

* Grouping required if remote control feature is used.

** iCom default is ‘generic’. It will work with any Phonak wireless hearing instrument. To group iCom to specific hearing instruments, un-tick the iCom option “Enable generic grouping” in the “Accessory setup” screen.

5 individual streaming programs

Starting with Phonak Target™, 2 default streaming programs for digital wireless accessories apply: “Mobile Phone” and “iCom Bluetooth Audio”. For more fine-tuning, up to 3 additional streaming programs can be selected.

Grouping and Selection

“Grouping” is the process to pair and save the accessory to the individual hearing instruments. “Selection” is a simple registration of the accessory within the fitting software. Serial number registration or printing instructions within the Reports section of the fitting software is only possible for selected devices.

Recommendation for ComPilot and iCom

For best results with ComPilot and iCom in the Phonak Target™ fitting software it is possible to fine-tune the pre-calculated “Bluetooth audio” and “Mobile phone” programs within the streaming programs section., as e.g. mobile phones input varies across types and models.

The fitting software also allows you to install the newest available firmware on the device.
