Q: Which hearing aids can be used with ComPilot and ComPilot II?

A: Spice and Quest hearing aids can only be used with ComPilot, while Venture and Belong hearing aids can be used with ComPilot II.  

Q: What is the ComPilot/ComPilot II pairing code for the mobile phone?

A: The ComPilot/ComPilot II pairing code is 0000. This is also visible on the back of the ComPilot II.

Q: What Bluetooth® devices can be paired to ComPilot/ComPilot II?

A: Examples of other devices are GPS, computers, and TVs.

ComPilot/ComPilot II supports the following profiles

  • Headset Profile (HSP)
  • Handsfree Profile (HFP)
  • Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)
  • Audio Video Remote Control Profile
  • (AVRCP)

Q: How many devices can be paired to a ComPilot/ComPilot II?

ComPilot
A: can be paired to a maximum of eight devices.

ComPilot II
A: can be paired to a maximum of six devices.

Q: How many devices can be simultaneously connected to ComPilot/ComPilot II?

ComPilot
A: only two (one phone and one audio) devices can be connected at a time.

ComPilot II
A: two phones as well as one RemoteMic or TVLink II or S can be connected at one time.

Q: What is the Bluetooth® range for ComPilot/ComPilot II

A: Up to 10m (32ft). It is a Class 2 device.

Q: What’s the risk of wearing the ComPilot/ComPilot II for long periods of time? With a pacemaker?

A: Phonak Devices may generate magnetic fields. Tests that Phonak conducted showed that no interferences with Implantable Devices (e.g. pacemakers, defibrillators, etc.) were caused that would impact the safe and effective use of the Implantable Devices. Users of Implantable Devices should contact their doctor and/or the manufacturer of the Implantable Device before they start using a Phonak Device. Stop using the Phonak Device if any influence of the Phonak Device on the Implantable Device is experienced and contact the manufacturer of the Implantable device for advice.

Q: What is the battery life and usage of the ComPilot/ComPilot II? Complete charge:

A: The ComPilot/ComPilot II uses a Lithium Ion polymer 3.7 V DC battery.

  • Audio-streaming via cable:24hr
  • Audio-streaming via FM: 24hr
  • BT streaming or phoning: 24hrRemote control:  2 weeks

Q: Can TVLink S be used with ComPilot II?

A: Yes.

Q: How do I delete a pairing on ComPilot/ComPilot II?

A: Press and hold the Connect and Volume up buttons for 10 seconds until the blue rapid blinking audio indicator stops.

Also delete the ComPilot II pairing entries on your mobile phone before any re-pairing.
